Position: Sanitation Supervisor

Location: Brighton, CO
FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary

The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for leading and supporting the sanitation team to ensure all production areas, equipment, and facility spaces are cleaned and sanitized in accordance with company standards, food safety regulations, and sanitation procedures. This position plays a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized production environment while promoting quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Sanitation Operations

• Supervise daily sanitation activities and ensure all assigned cleaning tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Verify that production equipment, tools, and work areas are properly cleaned and sanitized to support food safety and product quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout production areas, warehouses, aisles, break rooms, restrooms, offices, and other facility spaces.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure sanitation standards are consistently met.
• Identify sanitation deficiencies and work with the team to implement corrective actions.

Team Leadership

• Lead, coach, and support sanitation team members to ensure productivity and accountability.
• Conduct daily start-up meetings to communicate priorities, safety expectations, and operational updates.
• Promote a positive team environment focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with Quality Assurance, Production, and other departments to ensure sanitation requirements are met.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all company safety policies, food safety requirements, and sanitation procedures are followed at all times.
• Verify employees are properly trained in chemical handling, sanitation procedures, and workplace safety practices.
• Monitor the proper use and care of sanitation equipment and supplies.
• Support efforts to reduce equipment damage through proper cleaning procedures and employee awareness.

Documentation & Reporting

• Complete and maintain sanitation records, logs, and required documentation accurately and on time.
• Verify sanitation activities are documented according to company policies and sanitation SOPs.
• Assist with audits, inspections, and corrective action follow-up as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous sanitation, food production, or manufacturing experience required.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitation practices, food safety standards, and chemical handling procedures.
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support operations.
