Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in blood collection and patient care, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Phlebotomist Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures to obtain blood samples from patients.
- Properly label and handle specimens for laboratory testing.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure the confidentiality of information.
- Prepare and maintain phlebotomy equipment and supplies.
- Provide excellent patient care, ensuring comfort and safety during procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times.
- Assist with other laboratory duties as needed.
Phlebotomist Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Phlebotomy certification from a recognized program.
- Experience in phlebotomy, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques and specimen handling.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.
