Position Summary:
We’re seeking an energetic, creative, and organized Activity Director to plan and oversee a vibrant calendar of recreational, social, and therapeutic programs for our residents. This is an exciting opportunity to bring joy, purpose, and community to the people we serve every day.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging activity programs tailored to residents’ needs and interests
Coordinate group and individual activities such as arts & crafts, music, games, exercise, outings, and celebrations
Work collaboratively with nursing and therapy departments to promote resident wellness
Maintain accurate participation records and comply with state and federal regulations
Supervise and support activity staff and volunteers
Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere throughout the facility
Qualifications for Activity Director:
Previous experience in an activities, recreation, or therapeutic recreation role (preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting)
Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic personality
Knowledge of state regulations related to activity programs in long-term care
Certification as an Activity Director (ADC) or willingness to obtain is preferred
