Envision Technology, an innovative small business providing advanced electro-optical solutions for defense applications, seeks a Junior Electro-Optical Engineering Technician. In this role, you are responsible for supporting product development and manufacture of Envisions EOIR products.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and test Optical, Electrical and Mechanical components with Engineering or senior technician guidance
- Assemble and Calibrate test stations.
- Troubleshoot prototype and production optical issues
- Assist with Laser Safety and hazard minimization
Qualifications:
- Years of experience and schooling requirements: High School Diploma, 5 years of industry experience or Associate's degree in Optics or related technical field
· Desired experience with Optical testing, Interferometers and MTF test benches
· Analytical skills
· Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
· Desired experience in Manual Machining
· Desired experience SMT soldiering
Additional Information:
· The applicant must be a US Person
· Travel within the US or internationally to customer locations may be required occasionally to support product testing or design reviews
