The Payroll Specialist (Remote) is responsible for managing end-to-end payroll operations to ensure accurate and timely employee compensation. This role involves the use of payroll software and close coordination with departments such as Human Resources, Legal, and Benefits Administration to maintain compliance with tax regulations and internal policies. The specialist will support regular audits, resolve payroll issues, and maintain detailed employee records while handling sensitive information with confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule using ADP, Paychex, SAP, and other payroll systems
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations and reporting requirements
- Perform data entry and maintain up-to-date employee payroll records
- Generate payroll reports for management and audit purposes
- Support monthly audits and compliance checks
- Coordinate with Human Resources, Legal, and Benefits Administration for benefit deductions and employee inquiries
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies or issues promptly
- Manage timekeeping coordination to ensure accurate pay
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in payroll processing
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency with payroll systems such as ADP and Paychex
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations related to payroll
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and confidentiality
- Strong problem-solving abilities and time management skills
Salary : $60,000 - $115,000
