Pipe Tester - HQ Final Assembly

Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking Pipe Testers to join our manufacturing shop in High Point, North Carolina. In this role you will use a torque wrench to test steel pipes. This position is available on first shift.

Schedule: 6:00am-4:30pm with OT as necessary

Location: 250 Swathmore Ave, High Point, NC 27263

Responsibilities:

• Climb ladders
• Use a torque wrench on up to 700 lbs of steel pipe
• Handle material
• Work safely and adhere to all safety rules and policies
• Work in a fast-paced team environment
  
  
  

Education Requirements/Qualifications:

• Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required
• Minimum of a high school education or equivalent
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment preferred
  
  
  

Job Requirements/Special Skills:

• Ability to speak and read either English or Spanish required
• Ability to read a tape measure required
• Ability to read blueprints preferred
• Ability to work independently and on a team
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and climb ladders throughout the shift
• Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
