The Acoustical Ceiling Helper / Laborer is responsible for assisting with ceiling grid and tile installation on commercial and government job sites. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in the field and the opportunity to grow with a skilled team of professionals. You will contribute to a variety of tasks essential to successful project completion while learning the trade in a supportive environment. Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Gather, carry, and organize necessary materials
- Clean work areas and maintain equipment
- Measure and cut materials to specifications
- Position equipment and tools as needed for installation
- Operate scaffolding, aerial lifts, ladders, and stilts
- Use powder actuated tools and lasers
- Work in indoor and outdoor environments
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Help maintain construction schedules and phased timelines
- Complete other tasks as assigned by your manager
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- 0 to 1 years of experience in a construction-related trade
- Willingness to learn and develop skills in ceiling installation
- Tools and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand/walk for up to 8 hours per day
- Ability to pass a drug test
Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent
