Triangle is centrally located in Morganton, North Carolina and services large healthcare, education, general industrial and light commercial customers primarily in Central and Western North Carolina.
Triangle Contractors is currently seeking a Lead Welder/Pipe Fitter for projects within the Baxter facility located in Marion, NC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and pipefitting, with a focus on delivering high-quality work and exceptional service to our clients. As a welder/pipe fitter, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate installation, welding, and maintenance of piping systems, while adhering to safety standards and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

As a welder/pipe fitter, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate installation, welding, and maintenance of piping systems, while adhering to safety standards and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction and fabrication drawings
- Build and install piping systems with accurate layout and fit-up
- Cut, prep, and weld piping and structural materials
- Perform multi-axis spool welding while maintaining tight tolerances
- Generate legible isometric drawings for system layout
- Execute arc and gas welding in all positions (flat, vertical, overhead, etc.)
- Work with stainless-steel piping and tubing
- Lead and delegate tasks for crew members
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
- Support mechanical tasks and assist team members as needed
- Available for plant shutdowns and off-hours work when required
- Proven experience in welding and pipefitting
- Proficiency with stainless-steel piping and tubing
- Ability to read and understand technical documents and safety protocols
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
- Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, measurements)
- Ability to plan daily tasks and communicate objectives to coworkers
- Valid driver’s license required
