Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide front-line customer service, administrative support, and divisional scheduling for Student Services.
  • Assist student with general inquiries and issues, while ensuring smooth daily office operations.
  • Support staff with data entry (e.g., Banner, TargetX), document processing, and coordinator of basic operational tasks such as scheduling, records management, and purchase order tracking.
  • Assist Student Services offices with registration, advising, financial aid, student life activities, Enrollment Management activities, and graduation.
  • Support Student Services personnel with the use of the college’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
  • Assist with high school and student communication, student accounts, registration, Workforce Grant, and CRM for dual enrollment Division.
  • Assist with the maintenance of institutional scholarship applications and records.
  • Assist with the production and review of the student services portion of the college catalog and registration schedule.
  • Serve as recorder for Student Services meetings.
  • Serve as the distribution and collection point for budgets, personnel evaluations, job descriptions, and other student services documents.
  • Assist with the preparation of SACSCOC accreditation documents related to the Student Services Division.
  • Manage communication to and from the Student Services administrative office.
  • Maintain purchase orders and budgets for the Student Services administrative office.
  • Develop travel requests, coordinate accommodations, and prepare reimbursement paperwork for the Student Services administrative office.
  • Serves on committees as assigned by the President.

Qualifications

  • One (1) year (32 semester hours) of postsecondary education in related coursework form a regionally accredited institution, required.
  • Associate Degree in Business/Office Administration or related field, preferred.
  • One (1) year experience in office setting, required.
  • Experience with Banner, preferred.

SALARY: Compensation is in accordance with the Alabama Community College System’s Salary Schedule E3-4 ($39,759 - $57,251).
