What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Coordinator position at Enterprise Electronics Corporation?
Enterprise Electronics Corporation is seeking an experienced SHIPPING COORDINATOR for its Enterprise, Alabama manufacturing facility. The Shipping Coordinator processes domestic and international shipments, ensuring proper documentation and shipment methods.
Duties:
- Determines shipping methods, routes, or rates for products to be shipped. Works with carriers and freight forwarders on all ocean freight, air freight, and ground shipments.
- Prepares outbound shipments and completes compliance paperwork, such as, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and international trade agreement paperwork as required.
- Checks import or export documentation to determine cargo contents and uses tariff coding system to classify goods according to fee or tariff group.
- Records shipment data, such as, weight, charges, space availability, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalency
- 1 year of Shipping/Domestic and International Transportation experience
Skills & Abilities
- Operates a forklift to load/unload shipments
- Uses hand and power tools to crate shipments
- Utilizes spreadsheet (Excel) and word processing (Word) software to prepare shipping documentation
Work Schedule
- 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. Occasional overtime.
