Project Engineer
Summary
The Project Engineer manages and coordinates Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) for a vehicle program, supporting sustainability, reliability, and cost improvement initiatives. This role provides cross‑functional engineering support and plays a critical role in continuous product improvement while ensuring compliance with customer and stakeholder requirements throughout the vehicle lifecycle.
Requirements
- Experience managing Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) or equivalent configuration change processes
- Ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams including engineering, quality, logistics, and program management
- Strong technical documentation review and compliance experience
- Knowledge of systems integration, configuration management, and design review processes
- Experience performing risk assessments and supporting validation and verification activities
- Effective communication skills for internal teams, suppliers, and government customers
- Familiarity with U.S. Government or military specifications (preferred)
Description
- Lead the U.S.-side development, coordination, and implementation of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) for the vehicle program.
- Serve as liaison between design authority engineering teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and effective execution.
- Evaluate ECPs to ensure long-term vehicle sustainability, reliability improvements, and cost efficiency.
- Track ECP progress, perform risk analysis, and coordinate technical reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner with technicians to troubleshoot technical issues and improve system maintainability.
- Support logistics teams by providing technical data, provisioning documentation, and maintenance manuals.
- Assist quality teams with root cause analysis, corrective action development, and production support.
- Review technical documentation to ensure compliance with applicable U.S. Marine Corps specifications and requirements.
- Support design reviews, configuration management, systems integration, and validation and verification planning.
- Collaborate with program management to align ECP milestones with contract deliverables and schedules.
- Interface with U.S. Government representatives during reviews, inspections, and audits.
- Prepare and present technical reports, analyses, and engineering change justifications during customer briefings.
