Process Piping Lead

Responsibilities:

• Provide direction and coordinate the work of sub-leads and piping designers to ensure project execution with high design quality.
• Manage delivery schedule including escalation to project managers when schedule is at jeopardy.
• Support piping design team and facilitate resolution of design challenges.
• Develop resource loaders to predict budget burn rate and overall estimate to complete work.
• Coordinate design with other disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, etc.) to ensure success of project. Position may also require field support activities on client site including site walks.
• Will be working with an engineering design team on high-tech industrial manufacturing facility projects.
• This is a hybrid position, with the candidate preferably being hired in one of the following locations for a 2 day/week in-office schedule: Portland, OR / Phoenix, AZ / Pittsburgh, PA / Boise, ID.
• Fully remote would be considered for the right candidate, though it is not preferred.

Requirements:

• 5 years leading a piping team.
• Experience developing resource loaders, managing teams to delivery schedules, and facilitating resolution of design challenges for the piping team.
• 15 years experience in layout of process and mechanical equipment and associated piping design.
• Experience with Cadworx 3D and or Revit design software and Navisworks.
• Experience with process mechanical piping systems, industrial waste and high purity water systems a plus.
• Microelectronics experience a plus.
• Experience with pipe installation details and pipe supports, a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred instead of required.

Multiple locations available for hybrid position. Must be located in OR, AZ, PA, or ID.
