Summary
Entegee Engineering is actively seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Indianapolis, IN. This role is responsible for mechanical product design, validation testing, and documentation to support new concepts and updates to existing designs.
Responsibilities
- Create product designs and detailed drawings for new concepts and modifications to existing designs
- Perform mechanical analysis to confirm designs meet functional and safety requirements
- Resolve design and manufacturing issues through root-cause analysis and corrective actions
- Author engineering documents for fabrication, assembly, testing, and inspection requirements
- Conduct market research to support design decisions and identify emerging trends
- Coordinate project activities including scheduling, supplier management, and cross-functional design execution
Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3–5 years of design engineering experience (industrial machinery or automation)
- Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Experience with PLM systems
- Experience creating detailed drawings and releasing designs for fabrication and assembly
- Experience developing test plans and validating designs (thermal, vibration, lifecycle testing)
- Ability to perform mechanical analysis and verify designs meet functional and safety requirements
- Experience writing technical engineering documentation (fabrication, assembly, test, inspection)
