Electrical Engineer
Must have a BS degree in EE or similar (Physics for example)
Skills:
- Electrical Engineering background that includes System Engineering, Design Engineering, installation, system maintenance, and troubleshooting for AC and DC Distribution Systems, including transformers (from small to 1100 MVA), Generator Step-Up (GSU) Transformers, Generator Circuit Breakers (GCBs), Unit and Common Station Service Transformers (USSTs and CSSTs), Power Circuit Breakers (PCBs), Motor Control Centers (MCCs), HV and EHV, bus, batteries, chargers, inverters, disconnects, distribution boards, and their associated control and protective relaying subsystems.
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical for schematics and component layout.
- Familiarity with electrical codes and compliance requirements. For example, experience in understanding and complying with IEEE Standards, the NEC, NRC Regulatory Guides and IERS, EPRI Technical Reports, INPO SOERs, and site and corporate procedures for recommended maintenance, troubleshooting, performance history, and replacement strategies for electrical equipment. Someone who has designed to compliance initiatives and interface with compliance laboratories – UL, NFPA, NEC, CSA, FCC, CE, etc.
- PLC programming tools is a plus, but not necessary.
Salary : $65 - $75
