What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Designer position at Entegee?
Key Responsibilities:
- Design electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communications) for advanced facilities using AutoCAD and Revit MEP, producing 2D/3D models and construction documents
- Deliver complex electrical design packages in coordination with engineers and design leads, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, and budget
- Develop layouts, schematics, and electronic documentation while maintaining quality and client standards
- Mentor junior designers/drafters, plan staffing based on project needs, and align work with client expectations and deliverables
Required Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent required, Associates degree preferred
- At least 8 years of Revit/BIM design experience
- Team leadership interaction experience
- Experience with electrical engineering power distribution design projects, mission critical facilities experience is a plus.
- Understanding of electrical power system equipment/components such as Switchgears, transformers, panelboards, generators, UPS, etc.
- Project lead experience
- Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas?
- Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base?
- Passionate about buildings and construction?
- 3 years of semiconductor experience preferred
- Exposure to NEC and electrical design requirements preferred
