CNC Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

Summary

CNC Machinist operates and sets up Mazak CNC turning equipment, modifies machine programs, and produces precision parts to blueprint and quality specifications.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Mazak machines to produce machined parts
• Set up 3-axis turning machines for production runs
• Use live tooling during machining operations
• Read and interpret blueprints, quality plans, work orders, specifications, drawings, and setup documentation
• Modify existing CNC machine programs as needed
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with tight tolerances and blueprint requirements
• Monitor machine parameters and machine status boards during production
• Follow setup cards and production documentation to maintain machining quality and consistency

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 2 years of machining experience
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, work orders, and specifications
• Experience working to tight tolerances
• Knowledge of GD&T
• Experience operating CNC Mazak machines
• Experience with live tooling
• Experience setting up 3-axis turning machines
• Ability to modify existing CNC programs
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday

Preferred Skills

• Experience using quality plans, setup cards, machine status boards, and machine parameters
• Experience inspecting finished work for dimensional accuracy
• Experience supporting precision machining in a production environment
