Behavior Technician (Direct Support Professional)

Behavior Technician - Level 4 and Level 5

Location: Savage

Full Time and Part Time Shifts Available! Part Time Shifts Available! Needs to have 4-6years of experience:

• Monday/Tuesday and Thursday/ Friday & E/O weekend 4pm-10pm (FT) Dual Site between 2 homes
• Wed-Fri and E/O Weekend 4pm-10pm (PT) (Level 4 Home)

***Experience with high and intense behaviors is strongly welcomed. As well as experience with severe autism.

Pay range is based on our tier levels of (level 4- Level 5) and qualifiable experience related to the Human Services field.

This is an experienced direct care position with a 1:1 OR 2:1 staffing ratio offering specialized services to individuals with mental illness and/or challenging behaviors. The staff in these homes are experts in utilizing strength-based strategies to promote and reinforce healthy behaviors.

Job duties:

• Provide crisis prevention/intervention services to the individuals served.
• Monitor the individual(s) supported for symptoms of decline, crisis, medication side effects, and to intervene when necessary.
• Incorporate the CSSP and CSSP Addendum into daily interaction with the individuals served.
• Assist the individuals served with problem solving.
• Maintain complete and professional documentation.
• Participate in scheduled and spontaneous recreational events, medical appointments, family events, psychiatric appointments, and other activities of the person’s choice.
• Maintain clear, open, and honest communication with program management.
• Other duties as assigned.

These homes are based on tier levels and all candidates will need to have one of the following qualifications to be considered:​

· Level 2: No degree- min. 3 years’ experience ​ with positive behavioral supports or,

· Associates- min. 2 years’ experience with positive behavioral supports ​or,

· BA- min. 1 years’ experience with positive behavioral supports or,

· MA- min. 1 years’ experience with positive behavioral supports

Level 3: No degree- min. 4 years’ experience ​ with positive behavioral supports or,

· Associates- min. 3 years’ experience with positive behavioral supports ​or,

· BA- min. 2 years’ experience with positive behavioral supports or,

· MA- min. 1 years’ experience with positive behavioral supports

Level 4: No degree- min. 5 years’ experience ​ with positive behavioral supports or,

· Associates- min. 4 years’ experience with positive behavioral supports ​or,

· BA- min. 3 years’ experience with positive behavioral supports or,

· MA- min. 2 years’ experience with positive behavioral supports

Level 5: No degree- min. 6 years’ experience ​ with positive behavioral supports or,

· Associates- min. 5 years’ experience with positive behavioral supports ​or,

· BA- min. 4 years’ experience with positive behavioral supports or,

· MA- min. 3 years’ experience with positive behavioral supports
