Senior Firmware Engineer
We’re working with a well-funded, engineering-led defense technology startup developing next-generation autonomous systems designed to operate in highly challenging, real-world environments.
The Role
We’re looking for a Firmware Engineer to play a key role in developing high-performance embedded systems for advanced electromechanical platforms. You’ll be working on real-time control software and tightly integrated hardware systems in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop real-time embedded software in C for performance-critical applications
- Design and implement firmware for microcontroller-based systems
- Interpret datasheets and contribute to schematic design across digital and analog circuits
- Collaborate on system architecture across hardware and software boundaries
- Test, debug, and validate embedded systems in both lab and real-world environments
- Optimize performance, latency, and power consumption on constrained hardware
- Document designs, architectures, and test procedures
What We’re Looking For
- 3 years of experience in embedded firmware and electrical design
- Strong C experience in real-time or safety-critical systems
- Background in microcontroller-based systems and embedded circuit design
- Experience with hardware bring-up, testing, and debugging
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
Salary : $160,000 - $240,000
