About the Opportunity
We are working with a close-knit and established engineering firm in Madison looking to add a BIM Designer / Technician to its growing team.
The firm has approximately 50 employees and provides engineering services across projects including senior living, healthcare, hospitality, and other building environments.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on Revit/BIM modeling and coordination and wants to become an integral part of a smaller engineering team where they can gain exposure across multiple building systems and continue expanding their technical responsibilities.
Candidates with experience across electrical, plumbing, and/or mechanical building systems are encouraged to apply. You do not necessarily need to come from a purely mechanical background if you have strong BIM/Revit capabilities and an interest in expanding your MEP knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Revit/BIM models for building systems projects
- Produce drawings and construction documentation
- Coordinate models and designs across engineering disciplines
- Work alongside mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering teams
- Assist engineers with design development and documentation
- Identify and help resolve coordination issues
- Maintain BIM standards and model accuracy throughout projects
- Support projects from design development through construction documentation
- Collaborate directly with engineers and other members of the project team
Qualifications
- Professional experience as a BIM Designer, BIM Technician, Revit Technician, Engineering Designer, or similar
- Strong working knowledge of Revit
- AutoCAD experience is beneficial
- Previous exposure to MEP or building systems projects preferred
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems is valuable
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary engineering environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Interest in continuing to develop technically and take on greater responsibility

Salary : $65,000 - $95,000
