The Opportunity:
A multidisciplinary architecture and engineering consultancy is looking to add a Senior Electrical Engineer to its growing MEP/building systems practice.
The position is ideal for an experienced electrical engineer who enjoys remaining technically involved while also taking on project ownership, technical leadership, and mentorship responsibilities.
You'll join a developing electrical team and serve as a senior technical resource for less-experienced engineers and designers while working closely with multidisciplinary project teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical engineering and design for building systems projects
- Take ownership of electrical project delivery from design through completion
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers
- Perform and oversee electrical calculations, system design, specifications, and documentation
- Review designs and ensure technical quality and consistency
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Civil, and Architectural teams
- Work directly with project managers and clients throughout project delivery
- Support complex projects across healthcare, institutional, government, and private-sector markets
- Take on increasing technical and project leadership responsibility as the group continues to grow
Ideal Background
- Approximately 10 years of electrical engineering experience
- Strong MEP/building systems consulting background
- Experience leading electrical design and project delivery
- Strong multidisciplinary coordination skills
- Ability and interest in mentoring developing engineers/designers
- Healthcare, institutional, or government project experience is a plus
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- PE strongly preferred
