Slate is looking for an energetic, organized, experienced Design/Package Engineer-BIW to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for overseeing BIW Systems and component development, ensuring compatibility and integration across vehicle systems. Leading teams to engineer parts and assemblies, resolving integration issues. Managing technical specifications, setting vehicle targets, and providing guidance to engineers.

Develop and guide the development of BIW Systems and components, ensuring interface compatibility across all vehicle systems.

Lead the team in engineering parts, assemblies, and attributes, ensuring feasibility, manufacturability, and assimilability into vehicles.

Responsible for total vehicle integration of all BIW attribute requirements and feasibility at the vehicle level.

Identify and resolve integration and design issues during vehicle development.

Lead cross-functional Integration team meetings, collaborating with product development teams including systems, packaging, manufacturing, and service.

Manage Vehicle Technical Specifications and Functional Vehicle Targets, cascading technical requirements to BIW systems and components.

Develop strategic and specific vehicle level targets and evaluate functional requirements against vehicle features at each development gate.

Provide guidance and constraints to Development Engineers and the organization as the product plan matures.
