Who we are looking for: Re:Car is looking for an energetic, organized, and experienced Exterior Design/Release Engineer to join our growing team. The DRE will be responsible for design and development of the exterior components and related structures across the organization.

· Be an integral part of an energetic team that’s challenging the status quo of vehicle design.
· Responsible for the design and development of exterior components and assemblies.
· Develop and implement functional objectives to meet project performance targets.
· Manage all aspects of exterior component development to meet project requirements including performance, cost, mass, timing, manufacturability, etc.
· Lead collaboration between internal/external teams and suppliers to meet all project requirements.
What you bring to the team:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• 8 years of vehicle design experience in the areas of interior and/or exterior trim.
• Knowledge of design considerations required for plastic/composite components.
• Excellent communication and team building skills.
• Broad knowledge of NHSTA/FMVSS requirements related to exterior components.
• Ability and Desire work in a fun and fast paced environment
