Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development to meet program timing/quality and compliance
- Create a detailed component development plan and other project documents/manage the software release planning and report outs for all vehicle programs to ensure milestones are met on time.
- Work with cross functional teams to ensure packaging and component interface requirements are achieved
- Software / Feature planning and execution (as required) with Tier1/Internal SW teams for Requirement’s clarification management/ Change Request (CR) response / planning / execution, Software Readiness Reports/ SW release planning/ diagnostic definition and approval/GIMs closure planning (sw related)/sw delivery for PWB with CVVR
- Be the key interface with supplier/internal SW delivery teams for Requirement, cost, release & issue management
- Ensure that all suppliers have the required information and resources to carry out their tasks effectively
- Responsible for supplier management for hardware and software releases as per the vehicle timeline, implementation of quality improvements, including quality analysis of issues, leading supplier engagement, visit to customer vehicles to dive deeper into issues, and drive closure of open issues and validate software fixes
- Vehicle Software repository and Validation management for the respective component
- Perform initial triage of system level issues based on CAN logs & support in root cause activities during development and manufacturing
- Participate in War rooms, and discussion on GIMS analysis, status and closure for the respective component working with all stakeholders
- Tracking status of yellow/fixed GIMS with Validation /test teams for the respective component
- Interface with SWAT teams for Plant issues & create component SCR as required for minimizing impact to plant
- Test/Test Drive the vehicles for the component functionality as required
- System integration experience, understanding of vehicle system engineering & ECU development and releasing experience
- Familiar with Ethernet, LIN and CAN/CAN-FD protocols & System Troubleshooting
- Strong leadership skills (prepared to lead a supplier team) with experience managing suppliers and/or engineers
- High level of problem solving and analytical skills
- Software Issue Management - Open issues list management and dispositioning
- Software Issue Triage - First level triage to determine appropriate issue owner
- Ability to lead software management meetings
- Ability to communicate status of issues from triage to issue closure
- Work directly with client Software team and supplier software teams
- Ability to create PowerPoint slides to communicate issue status
