Job Overview: The Manufacturing Engineering Technician plays a key support role within our Manufacturing Engineering team, working closely with Manufacturing Engineers to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production processes. In this hands-on position, you will help drive continuous improvement initiatives, use a hands-on approach with production teams and the Product Engineering team to create clear, comprehensive digital work instructions, and perform data-driven analyses to optimize plant capacity and throughput. You’ll be instrumental in bridging the gap between engineering concepts and the shop floor by documenting best practices, validating process changes, and supporting equipment installations and qualification efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers on new product introductions, process improvement projects, and equipment upgrades.
- Use a hands-on approach with production teams and the Product Engineering team to develop, maintain, and update digital work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and attribute sheets to reflect current best practices.
- Conduct capacity studies and time-motion analyses to identify bottlenecks, calculate cycle times, and recommend resource adjustments.
- Assist with tooling and fixture design verification, equipment qualification, and validation testing.
- Participate in safety and quality audits, documenting findings and helping implement remediation plans.
- Facilitate communication between engineering, quality, maintenance, and production teams to ensure alignment on process changes and project timelines.
- Support training efforts by delivering clear work instructions and hands-on guidance to operators and technicians.
- Contribute to departmental efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical or manufacturing experience required.
- Engineering education experience preferred.
- Ability to have multiple projects in progress at the same time and prioritize workload.
- Highly proficient in MS Office Suite
- Analytical mind. Must have strong attention to detail skills.
- Strong work ethic and good problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to convey ideas and programs; work in cross-department teams.
- Ability to handle and organize multiple priorities.

This position may be located in the “administrative section” of a manufacturing facility. You will be exposed to a variety of smells due to the manufacturing process. You will also exposed to moderate noise coming from the manufacturing area. Eye protection and steel toed footwear is required if you go on the manufacturing floor.
