A newly opened leadership opportunity is available for a Director of Community Physicians Group in Missoula, Montana. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this role is responsible for overseeing the operations, strategy, and performance of a growing network of physician practices and service lines.
The Director will play a key role in optimizing clinical and business performance while fostering a culture rooted in patient care, operational excellence, and strong provider engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic planning, growth, and optimization of physician practices and associated service lines.
- Partner with medical and administrative leadership to build engaged, high-performing teams.
- Oversee provider recruitment, onboarding, compensation models, and performance management.
- Develop and implement business plans, proformas, and budget forecasts aligned with organizational goals.
- Improve operational efficiency and patient experience while ensuring quality outcomes.
- Contribute to service line planning, new facility development, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Represent the organization across internal councils and external stakeholder engagements.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in health or business administration preferred.
- In lieu of a master’s degree, a bachelor’s degree with 10 years of progressive practice management experience in financial, HR, and operational areas is acceptable.
- Minimum of 7 years in physician practice or healthcare management.
- Strong skills in business planning, SWOT analysis, and financial review.
- Preferred certifications: CPPS, CMPE.
- Experience in matrixed organizations and leading through influence is a plus.
