As part of the continued expansion of one of our global clients' US manufacturing portfolio, we have been retained to identify an experienced Construction Director to lead construction delivery across a major greenfield capital investment programme.

This confidential appointment forms part of a multi-billion-dollar manufacturing expansion strategy that will deliver next-generation production facilities supporting long-term growth, supply chain resilience and advanced industrial capability across North America.

This is an executive construction leadership position responsible for the safe, efficient and successful delivery of a complex, multi-contractor construction programme from mobilisation through commissioning and operational handover.

Working directly alongside executive programme leadership, you will provide strategic direction across construction execution, contractor performance, field leadership, schedule delivery, quality, safety and construction governance throughout the project lifecycle.

This represents an opportunity to influence one of the most significant advanced manufacturing investments currently being delivered within the United States.

The Opportunity

• Provide executive construction leadership across a major greenfield capital investment programme valued in excess of several hundred million dollars.
• Lead all site construction activities from mobilisation through mechanical completion, commissioning support and operational handover.
• Develop and execute construction strategy, workface planning, sequencing, construction readiness and execution planning.
• Direct EPCM partners, general contractors, specialist subcontractors and owner-side construction teams.
• Drive world-class performance across safety, quality, productivity, cost and schedule.
• Manage complex contractor interfaces and multi-disciplinary field execution across civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation disciplines.
• Partner closely with engineering, procurement, project controls, commissioning, operations and executive programme leadership.
• Identify programme risks, remove execution constraints and ensure delivery against key project milestones.
• Champion construction governance, contractor accountability and continuous improvement throughout execution.
• Build and develop high-performing construction teams while fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership and delivery excellence.

The Individual

We're interested in speaking with construction leaders who have successfully delivered large-scale owner-side or EPC/EPCM capital projects within complex industrial environments.

You will ideally bring:

• 15 years of senior construction leadership experience delivering major capital projects.
• Demonstrated success leading projects valued at $500M through construction execution.
• Experience working within owner organisations, EPC or EPCM project environments.
• Strong background delivering complex greenfield manufacturing or industrial facilities.
• Extensive knowledge of construction planning, contractor management, field execution, site logistics and construction governance.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary construction teams across complex stakeholder environments.
• Strong commercial awareness alongside exceptional leadership, communication and decision-making capability.
• Proven ability to deliver safely while maintaining quality, schedule and cost performance across large construction programmes.

Experience gained within advanced manufacturing, technology, chemicals, energy transition, data centres, semiconductors, life sciences or other highly regulated industrial sectors will be considered.
