Job Description School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) Location: Greater Northwest Phoenix Metro Area (West Valley, AZ) Position Type: Full-Time 40 hours per week Setting: K-12 Public School District About Us: A Retention-First Educational Partner At e&e Educational Partners, we take a different approach to school-based staffing. We are currently seeking a dedicated, student-centered Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a thriving public school community in the West Valley of Phoenix for the current school year.
Key Responsibilities Evaluations & Assessments: Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to determine student eligibility for services, focusing on fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and self-care abilities. IEP Development & Management: Author compliant, measurable IEP goals and objectives; track student progress; and actively participate in multidisciplinary IEP team meetings. Direct & Indirect Service Delivery: Provide direct individual and small-group therapy sessions, as well as push-in classroom support, to help students access their educational curriculum.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Partner closely with special education teachers, Speech-Language Pathologists, physical therapists, school psychologists, and parents to implement sensory accommodations and environmental modifications. Assistive Technology & Adaptive Equipment: Evaluate student needs for adaptive seating, writing tools, and assistive technologies to foster independence across school environments. Qualifications & Requirements Education: Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program.
State Licensure: Active Arizona Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners license (or eligible). Fingerprint Clearance: Valid Arizona DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card. Certifications: Active NBCOT certification preferred.
Experience: Prior school-based OT experience or pediatric clinical fieldwork highly preferred; strong working knowledge of IDEA guidelines and school-based service models.
