We are seeking an experienced and motivated FP&A Director to lead our financial planning and analysis work. The FP&A Director will be responsible for overseeing the forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis processes, as well as providing strategic financial insights to support the organization’s growth and profitability. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of financial management principles, and a proven track record of driving process improvements.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own the FP&A process for a multi-entity and multi-channel, vehicle service contract provider including:
- Maintain and enhance financial model used for budgeting and forecasting
- Assess profitability levels for each operating unit
- Understand variances between actual results and projections to constantly improve the quality of projections
- Identify areas of opportunity communicating findings to management and business leaders
- Cash flow management
- Complete 13 week cash flow reporting on a weekly basis
- Describe variances between actual and anticipated results
- Review finance company partners funding and cancellation statements to ensure accuracy to contracted terms
- Assist with the management and development of KPIs
- Provide insights on actual vs. projected results and highlight business opportunities
- Review finance company partner reporting for accuracy to contract terms
- Collaborate with the technology team to automate weekly flash reporting
- Contribute to the development and tracking of financial KPIs
- Ad hoc financial analysis to support the VP of Finance & Accounting as well as the CFO
- Other duties as assigned or as business needs arise.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- 5 years’ experience in financial planning and analysis with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Expert financial modeling and analysis skills.
- Power BI experience building dashboards and automated reports (or Tableau/Looker).
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Power Query, comfortable with large datasets) skills required.
- Experience using QuickBooks software for tasks relating to general ledger preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking to troubleshoot complex scenarios.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Other duties as assigned or as business needs arise.
- Sitting or standing for extended periods; repetitive motions; use hands to handle equipment or controls; reach with hands and arms; typing on keyboard; viewing computer screen extended periods; speak clearly and hearing
- Regular use of typical office equipment, computer software, programs, and methods of communication such as a computer, e-mail, phone system, and messaging.
- In a remote work environment, being interactive and communicative with management and co-workers in a visible manner is an essential function of the job. Camera/video usage is required.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
