Job Description: Project Manager (PMO Support)
Type: Contract-to-Hire
Overview:
We are partnering with a rapidly growing healthcare organization in the Tampa area that is building out its Project Management Office (PMO). They are seeking a Project Manager to work closely with leadership and help bring structure, visibility, and execution discipline across a wide range of initiatives.
This is a high-impact role where you’ll help shape processes while managing both technical and operational projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and rollout of PMO processes and governance
- Manage multiple concurrent projects across IT and business functions
- Build and maintain project plans, timelines, and dashboards
- Identify and manage dependencies, risks, and critical paths
- Serve as a go-to resource for project methodology and best practices
- Track and report on project status, progress, and metrics
- Partner directly with leadership to drive execution and priorities
- Utilize tools such as Smartsheet (or similar platforms) for tracking and reporting
Qualifications:
- 2 years of project management experience
- Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with project management tools (Smartsheet, Monday.com, etc.)
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate with limited structure and adapt quickly
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare environments
- Exposure to both IT and operational/business projects
- Familiarity with PMO frameworks or PMBOK concepts (PMP not required)
