Job Summary:
The Treasury Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for evaluating the accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance of treasury-related processes, documentation, and client onboarding activities. This role ensures that treasury services such as ACH, wires, RDC, fraud controls, and account analysis are implemented and maintained in accordance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and client service standards. The Treasury Quality Assurance Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of quality control (QC) reviews, monthly data validation, and preparing for internal and external audits. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience working in a risk or compliance-focused environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
The duties listed below are some of the duties that may be assigned and may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
- Perform quality assurance reviews for new treasury & specialty service implementations, change requests, and periodic account reviews.
- Verify that all required documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with internal procedures and external regulations (e.g., NACHA, Reg. E, BSA/AML).
- Audit Treasury Management onboarding packages for completeness and consistency.
- Verify all billing elements are captured in Account Analysis and ensure accuracy of billing
- Validate accuracy of system setup for services such as ACH origination, wire transfers, RDC, positive pay, and account analysis billing.
- Ensure limits (e.g., ACH, wire) are appropriately documented and approved per policy.
- Track and report QA findings (process gaps, inconsistencies, errors, etc.), trends, mitigation progress to Treasury Risk Manager
- Assist in the development and maintenance of QA checklists, process documentation, and control standards.
- Participate in internal & external audits, regulatory exams, and special projects as needed.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to support continuous improvement and risk mitigation efforts.
- Collect, organize, and maintain audit documentation and evidence.
- Validate data used in recurring monthly risk and performance reports.
- Review limit exposure on a semi-annual basis
- Complete semi-annual/annual reviews of relevant Treasury Management products
- Assist and support Treasury Risk Manager in projects as needed

Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in treasury operations, treasury management onboarding, or quality assurance in a financial institution. Background in risk, compliance, or internal audit is a plus
- Strong understanding of treasury products and services (ACH, wire, RDC, fraud protection, account analysis).
- Strong understanding of control environments, documentation standards, and audit processes.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and industry guidelines (e.g., NACHA, OFAC, Reg. CC, Reg. E, UCC 4A).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills
- High attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies or procedural gaps.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset
