Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Position Overview
Hands-on electrical maintenance role supporting a continuous manufacturing operation. This position replaces an expatriate maintenance manager as part of workforce localization. The role requires strong electrical troubleshooting capability, PLC/HMI operation experience, and the ability to work safely at heights. The technician will support equipment uptime, documentation, and coordination with Korean and local teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on manufacturing equipment
- Operate and support Mitsubishi PLC systems, HMI programs, and touch panels
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&ID drawings
- Use AutoCAD to review, update, and support electrical drawings
- Conduct on-site work at heights in compliance with safety regulations
- Prepare maintenance, inspection, and incident reports
- Support preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance activities
- Coordinate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime
- Participate in technical interviews and audits as required
- Complete structured knowledge transfer during the initial 3-month handover period
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 -10 years
of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance - Practical experience as a
user/operator of Mitsubishi PLC and HMI systems - Ability to understand and work from
electrical diagrams and P&ID drawings - AutoCAD proficiency
- Ability to perform physical work, including working at heights
- Ability to prepare clear technical and maintenance reports
- Working-level
Korean and English
communication skills - Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Electrical Engineering background or degree
- Manufacturing or chemical plant maintenance experience
