Daycare Teacher (Lead & Assistant Positions Available)

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children's learning and development
• Encourage positive behavior through patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement
• Provide attentive and individualized care to meet each child's unique needs
• Assist with daily routines, including meals, rest periods, and classroom transitions
• Observe, document, and communicate children's developmental progress
• Maintain open and professional communication with families regarding their child's day and development
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment
• Follow all daycare policies, licensing regulations, and health and safety procedures

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a licensed childcare center, preschool, daycare, or similar setting preferred
• Basic knowledge of child development and age-appropriate practices
• Ability to pass all required state background checks
• Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification (if not already certified)
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications (Lead Teacher Candidates)

• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a childcare or early childhood education setting
• Experience leading a classroom and mentoring assistant teachers

Position Details

• Job Type: Full-Time
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (no evenings or weekends)
• Pay: $14.50–$18.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

*Final rate depends on verified education, credentials, and childcare-related experience

• Probationary Period: 60 days or less, depending on performance.
