What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Manager - FMCG position at EnableSA (Pty) Ltd?
· Manage
daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and
dispatch.
· Ensure
optimal use of freezer space and efficient stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO
principles).
· Maintain
cold chain integrity at all times.
· Oversee
stock control processes, including cycle counts and full stocktakes.
· Investigate
and resolve inventory discrepancies.
· Ensure
accurate record-keeping using warehouse management systems (WMS).
· Ensure
compliance with South African food safety standards (e.g., HACCP).
· Monitor and
maintain required temperature ranges for frozen goods.
· Implement
and enforce hygiene and sanitation standards.
· Supervise,
train, and develop warehouse staff.
· Manage
staff scheduling, performance, and discipline.
· Ensure
compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations.
· Conduct
regular safety audits and risk assessments.
· Ensure
proper use of PPE and safe operation of equipment (e.g., forklifts in cold
environments)
· Coordinate
dispatch schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
· Liaise with
transport providers and internal departments.
· Optimize
workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements
· Grade
12
· Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or
Warehouse Management – advantageous
· Minimum 5–8
years’ warehouse experience
· At least 3
years in a supervisory or management role
· Proven
experience in a frozen food or cold storage environment – essential
· Strong
knowledge of cold chain management
· Proficient
in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
· Valid drivers
license and own transport
· Candidate
must reside in the Port Elizabeth / Uitenhage area
