EMR is seeking a dependable and skilled Equipment Operator to support our metal recycling operations at our West Dallas depot. This is a hands-on role ideal for individuals experienced with heavy equipment - or those eager to learn and grow in the industry.

EMR is seeking a dependable and skilled Equipment Operator to support our metal recycling operations at our West Dallas depot. This is a hands-on role ideal for individuals experienced with heavy equipment - or those eager to learn and grow in the industry.
What You’ll Do
- Operate a crane with a mobile shear attachment to process and move scrap metal
- Use excavators and/or material handlers to support daily yard operations
- Perform daily equipment inspections and complete maintenance reports
- Conduct routine equipment checks and basic maintenance
- Follow all safety procedures and environmental guidelines
- Work closely with team members to ensure efficient operations
- Take on additional duties as needed
- Experience operating a crane with mobile shear preferred
- Strong excavator experience considered (training provided for the right candidate)
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn multiple types of equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong time management and multitasking skills
- Must pass background check, physical exam, and drug screening
