Position Overview
DermAssure is seeking a General Manager to lead operations across our clinical, technical, and regulatory functions. This individual will oversee day-to-day field operations in our mobile dermatology department, manage the software and product teams building our mobile diagnostic application, ensure progress toward regulatory approval for our Class II medical device, and maintain disciplined financial and operational performance. Our General Manager will have full P&L responsibility.
This position requires a hands-on leader based in Northern New Jersey, with the ability to travel multiple times per week across Northern NJ and New York City.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee field operations for DermAssure’s mobile dermatology division, ensuring timely and high-quality patient care delivery.
- Manage and coordinate the software and product development teams responsible for our mobile diagnostic platform.
- Lead efforts to achieve FDA Class II medical device clearance, coordinating with regulatory consultants and internal stakeholders.
- Build, monitor, and manage the company’s budget, including forecasting, variance analysis, and board reporting.
- Develop financial models and presentation materials for leadership and investors.
- Establish operational processes that scale efficiently while maintaining compliance with healthcare standards.
- Collaborate with the executive team to set priorities, execute strategy, and drive measurable performance outcomes.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of management experience within a healthcare or medical technology organization.
- Prior experience in dermatology operations or outpatient healthcare services is highly preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including modeling, data visualization, and dashboard reporting for board and executive presentations.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across clinical, software, and regulatory domains.
- Experience with FDA Class II medical device development or submission is an asset.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced healthcare management degree preferred.
- Must reside in Northern New Jersey and possess a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation for local travel.
Compensation
Competitive base salary, performance-based bonus, and significant equity participation.
