Job description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism in all interactions.
Duties
Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to transport goods to designated locations.
Load and unload products using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and in accordance with company policies.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking shipments and obtaining necessary signatures.
Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients at delivery locations.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organization.
Skills
Proficient in operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
Experience in warehouse environments is preferred.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
Ability to drive various types of vehicles, including box trucks and vans.
Experience with heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) is required.
Familiarity with using pallet jacks and forklifts for loading and unloading tasks is advantageous.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is preferred.
Experience in route driving and familiarity with local roadways is advantageous.
Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
Physical ability to lift and move heavy items safely, as well as perform loading/unloading tasks.
Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
A proactive attitude towards safety and compliance with all company policies and procedures.
