Job Description
- Maintain working knowledge of federal regulations (FHA, ADA, FDCPA, anti-discrimination laws, Coastal Zone Management).
- Understand and apply federal and Hawaii employment laws (overtime, payroll, taxability, reporting).
- Manage and interpret property-related insurance requirements (liability, D&O, workers’ comp, flood, hurricane, etc.).
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of accounting principles, processes, and financial statements.
- Communicate financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Develop and manage budgets using trendline and zero-based methodologies.
- Apply contract law knowledge and distinguish between proposals and binding agreements.
- Prepare bid specifications and manage RFPs to ensure competitive vendor selection.
- Utilize technology and systems to improve operational efficiency and client service.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, board members, vendors, and staff.
- Provide supervision, training, and support to on-site management staff.
