What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Central Technical Consultant position at Empiric?
We are seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Business Central Supply Chain Management (SCM) Production Consultant to support a 6-month implementation and optimization engagement. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on technical expertise in Business Central Production functionality, along with solid knowledge of end-to-end manufacturing and supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support technical implementation, configuration, and optimization of Dynamics 365 Business Central Production module
- Translate business requirements into technical design and system configuration
- Configure production processes including:
- Bills of Materials (BOM)
- Routings and operations
- Production orders, scheduling, and capacity setup
- Support integration across SCM modules (Inventory, Purchasing, Master Data, Warehouse Management)
- Perform technical gap analysis and recommend scalable solutions
- Support SIT/UAT, defect resolution, and deployment activities
- Assist with AL extensions/customizations and system troubleshooting
- Collaborate with technical and functional teams on integrations and enhancements
- Provide technical documentation and support go-live and stabilization
Required Skills & Experience
- 5 years of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or NAV) experience in a technical/techno-functional role
- Strong experience with SCM Production/Manufacturing configuration
- Hands-on knowledge of AL extensions or Business Central development preferred
- 1β2 full lifecycle Business Central implementations required
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and ERP data flows
- Experience supporting testing, go-live, and production support activities
