We are looking for a motivated Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our dynamic logistics team. You will be the first point of contact for clients, truckers, and carriers, ensuring shipments are accurate, timely, and smoothly processed.
Location: Port of Oakland (west oakland)
Schedule: 8am-5pm
Pay rate: $24-$26

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Communication
Serve as the primary contact for customers, truckers, and carriers regarding shipments and port-related inquiries
Confirm order and shipment details via phone and email
Provide timely follow-up and maintain excellent customer service
Order & Shipment Management
Process and manage a high volume of customer orders and shipment details
Monitor and update shipment statuses in internal systems and portals
Schedule and confirm appointments for pickups and deliveries
Documentation & Compliance
Collect, review, and maintain shipment documentation for accuracy and compliance
Maintain accurate records in our system in compliance with company policies and port regulations
Coordination & Operations Support
Work closely with port, warehouse personnel, and drivers to ensure timely loading, unloading, and delivery
Support dispatch and operations teams as needed
Payments & Financial Processing
Collect and process payments from clients as required
Issue Resolution
Investigate and resolve shipment delays, discrepancies, or other issues
Qualifications:
Previous customer service experience (logistics or shipping experience preferred)
Comfortable managing workload with attention to detail
Strong communication skills (phone and email)
Proficient in computer use and comfortable learning new software, including logistics or order management systems
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
