Position Summary
Empire, through our Model Home Interiors (MHI) division, is seeking Warehouse Help to join our operations team in Elkridge, Maryland. This role plays a key part in supporting our furniture delivery and installation projects by ensuring accurate inventory handling, loading/unloading, and organization within the warehouse. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position with an hourly pay rate of $17.50 – $20.50, based on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Pick inventory items from shelves and move to designated loading areas
- Load merchandise safely and securely onto trucks for delivery
- Unload merchandise from incoming trucks and verify accuracy
- Pack, stage, and put away merchandise in the proper warehouse locations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Assist with inventory counts and tracking as needed
- Collaborate with drivers, helpers, and other warehouse staff to ensure timely project support
Skills & Requirements
- Hourly pay rate: $17.50 – $20.50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience a plus
- Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs. repeatedly and work in a physically active environment
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly work environment
