Job Overview
Empire Electric and Spray Foam is looking for a motivated and knowledgeable Electrical Salesman to join our team. Prior sales experience is a must. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of electrical products and applications, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to build lasting relationships with customers. In this role, you will work directly with customers to understand their electrical needs, recommend the right products and solutions, prepare quotes, and help drive sales.
Duties
- Assist customers with selecting electrical products, materials, and equipment.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers.
- Prepare estimates, quotes, and sales orders accurately and efficiently.
- Provide product recommendations based on customer needs and project requirements.
- Follow up on quotes and sales opportunities.
- Work with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing, availability, and product information.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical products, industry trends, and applications.
- Meet or exceed sales goals and company objectives.
- Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure customers receive excellent service.
- Resolve customer questions and concerns in a professional and timely manner
Requirements
- Previous electrical sales, electrical distribution, or industry experience required.
- Strong knowledge of electrical products, materials, and applications.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to read and understand electrical specifications, plans, or product information.
- Comfortable using computers and standard office/sales software.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and results-oriented.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license required
