Job Summary:
As a Speech Therapist (ST), you’ll be responsible for evaluating, planning, and delivering therapy services to residents experiencing communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Your goal will be to help each resident achieve their highest possible level of function, while maintaining dignity and improving quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Administer speech-language pathology services as prescribed by a physician
- Assist patients in reaching maximum functional independence
- Accurately document and submit patient treatment notes and billing in a timely manner
- Coordinate and supervise responsibilities delegated to support staff
- Participate in department performance improvement and infection control programs
- Ensure safety and compliance with facility policies and state/federal regulations
- Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the State of Georgia
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred
- Strong communication, clinical, and organizational skills
