What are the responsibilities and job description for the Worship Coordinator position at Emmanuel Christian Center?
The Worship Coordinator supports the mission of Emmanuel by leading and developing the locations worship ministry. This role is responsible for cultivating an authentic, high-quality worship experience that is consistent with Emmanuel’s culture across all campuses, while providing local leadership, shepherding, and volunteer development for weekend services, prayer services, and holiday events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Worship Leadership: Lead and cultivate an authentic, high-quality worship experience at the location that is aligned with Emmanuel’s overall worship culture and values.
- Volunteer Shepherding & Development: Recruit, train, schedule, and lead worship volunteers while fostering spiritual growth, ownership, and healthy team culture.
- Service Planning & Execution: Partner with the Lakeville Pastor to plan, lead, and execute weekend services, prayer services, and special events with excellence and consistency.
- Systems & Production Oversight: Own Planning Center Online (PCO) for the location, ensure service details and volunteer schedules are accurate, and provide leadership for all worship rooms and resources

- Worship & Musical Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead worship in a way that is musically excellent, spiritually authentic, and culturally aligned with Emmanuel.
- Team Leadership & Communication: Strong relational, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across staff, volunteers, and ministry leaders.
- Organization & Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, plan ahead, and ensure service elements and systems are accurate and prepared.
- Self-Leadership & Initiative: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high standard of quality and follow-through.
Requirements:
- Education & Training: Bachelor’s degree with a focus in worship pastoring, music ministry, leadership, or a related field.
- Ministry Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in worship ministry, music leadership, or team development using industry best practices.
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience leading, training, and developing volunteers or teams in a ministry setting.
- Cultural Alignment: Agreement with and adherence to the Emmanuel Christian Center Staff Code of Conduct, and commitment to make Emmanuel your church home.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
