Lead Worship
- Select powerful, inclusive, theologically-grounded worship songs to lead a community in spiritual transformation
- Engage volunteer musicians in the community by providing opportunities to join you in leading worship. Leading a weekly rehearsal, as well as pre-worship setup and takedown, is expected.
Collaborate with New City staff to change the world
- Influence New City’s mission and direction by participating in our staff meetings
- Coordinate volunteer musicians, create lyric slides, fill out a simple CCLI report of songs played (so artists get paid), and other administration. It is possible to parcel out this administration to volunteers, but you will be ultimately responsible that things are running.
Desired Qualifications

- Belief in the transformative power of communities singing worship songs to God.Previous experience in leading communities in music.
- Desire to build leadership skills and be in collaboration with New City staff and community members.
- Musical Knowledge and Vocal Technique. If you do not sing or play an instrument (guitar and piano preferred), New City will hire a musician to complement you.
