Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Manager with experience in the medical device manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of the shipping and receiving department to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant movement of goods. This role is critical to maintaining supply chain efficiency and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, ISO standards, and other applicable regulatory requirements for medical devices.
- Coordinate logistics for domestic and international shipments, including carrier selection, customs documentation, and freight tracking.
- Maintain and enforce inventory control procedures; conduct cycle counts and inventory audits regularly.
- Supervise and train warehouse staff in shipping, receiving, packaging, and inventory practices.
- Collaborate closely with production, quality, and supply chain teams to align shipping schedules and minimize production delays.
- Prepare and review shipping documents (BOLs, packing slips, invoices) and ensure accuracy.
- Handle return materials and RMA processing in compliance with company policy and customer agreements.
- Evaluate and improve shipping and receiving workflows to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and maintain high service levels.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment; ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
- Generate reports on departmental performance, shipment statuses, and key metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in shipping/receiving management, preferably in a medical device or regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of shipping regulations, including FDA, GMP, ISO 13485, and international export controls.
- Experience with ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and warehouse management software.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to problem-solve under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Forklift certification preferred but not required.
