What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wayfinding Signage Installer (1099) position at EMG Graphics?
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced wayfinding signage installer to support ongoing and upcoming projects throughout the Front Range. This is a 1099 contractor position with flexible, as-needed scheduling.
Work volume can range from 4–40 hours per week, depending on availability and project demand.
What You’ll Do
- Install interior and exterior wayfinding signage
- Read and interpret installation drawings and plans
- Ensure accurate placement, leveling, and alignment of signage
- Provide regular updates to the EMG project manager, including installation progress, site conditions, and any issues requiring attention
- Coordinate with site contacts when needed
- Perform installations either independently or alongside our team of local installers, depending on project scope
- Maintain a high standard of quality and professionalism on-site
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience installing signage (wayfinding, ADA, architectural, or similar) or related construction fields required.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools
- Ability to read shop drawings and layout plans
- Strong attention to detail with excellent measurement and alignment skills
- Reliable transportation and basic installation tools
- Ability to work both independently and on a team, and communicate clearly
Bonus Skills (Not Required, But Valuable)
- Creating signage shop drawings
- Project coordination or site management experience
- Familiarity with signage fabrication processes

While this role is structured as a contractor position, candidates with additional capabilities - such as an ability to complete shop drawings or project coordination -may be considered for a full-time position as we expand operations in Colorado.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.10 per hour
