Emergent Health Partners, a non-profit health care provider, has an opening for a full-time Insurance Specialist. This position is responsible for tracking and managing the status of insurance claims submitted to various payers. You would ensure timely reimbursement by proactively following up on outstanding claims, investigating denials and resolving billing discrepancies. This role requires strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as a thorough understanding of insurance processes and payer guidelines, such as appeals and needed authorizations for certain carriers.
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience with a computerized medical billing program, be PC proficient, have good problem-solving skills, be extremely organized and have both speed and accuracy in typing along with a strong work ethic. Candidates should have a strong understanding of medical insurances and how they work, be familiar with ICD-10 and HCPC codes. Competitive wages and excellent benefits packages offered.
During training, this role will be on-site only. Once training is complete, it will offer a hybrid flexibility arrangement.
