Responsibilities for the Quality Manager job in Erie, PA include:
- Lead and administer the quality management system, including corrective action, continuous improvement, and Six Sigma methodologies
- Develop, implement, and maintain ISO 9000-2015 standards and documentation
- Manage supplier quality and ensure adherence to military specifications
- Apply statistical process control and structured problem-solving to improve product quality
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering program is required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality management, ideally within a heavy machining or machine shop environment
- Proven experience with quality techniques (Six Sigma, SPC, corrective action, continuous improvement) and ISO 9000-2015
- Understanding of military specifications and supplier quality management; ERP/MRP experience a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
- Preferred: arc welding experience, metallurgical background, and familiarity with government/military contracts and MRP systems
- This position is subject to ITAR compliance: International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which requires U.S. person status; ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., "Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire; visa sponsorship or C to C is not available for this position.
