What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baker Level I position at Emerald Queen Casino?
The Baker Level I is responsible for performing entry level baking duties for the casino’s food and beverage kitchen department while providing superior guest service by preparing desserts and baked goods for guest consumption. Duties include following recipes and instructions accurately while preparing baked goods, performs routine clean up while ensuring work area is clean, organized and functional. Performs additional job duties as assigned by the department manager. Starting wage is $21.50 and increases to $22.68 upon successful completion of 90-day orientation period.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- One year culinary training (preferred)
Experience & Requirements:
- Minimum of one year working experience in a kitchen or bakery
- Additional education or related experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of this position
- Must have a valid Washington State food handler's card
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for longer than 8 hours
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to tolerate a smoke filled environment
- Mobility to climb stairs on a routine basis
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays
