What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baker Level II position at Emerald Queen Casino?
The Baker Level II is responsible for preparing baked goods and desserts to facilitate casino and catering needs while providing superior guest service. Duties include using a degree of creativity and latitude while preparing and baking desserts and baked goods according to recipes and adopted procedures and performing routine cleaning ensuring all work areas are clean and organized. Performs additional job duties as assigned by the department manager. Starting wage is $22.99 increasing to $24.17 upon successful completion on 90 day orientation period.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Two years of culinary training is required
Experience & Requirements:
- Three or more years experience in related field
- Additional education and related experience may substitute for the minimum requirements
- Must have valid Washington State food handler's card
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to use hand and arm motion; lifting, stirring, carrying ingredients, pastries and baked goods weighing up to 40 pounds
- Mobility to climb stairs on a routine basis
- Must be able to tolerate a smoke filled environment
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays
